You are 15 to 20 minutes away from setting up your safes and putting the best security practices in place for your property.
Step 1: Check your email
SAFEMARK Training and Support will send you an email that will include:
This explainer, EHO User Manual and a link to download the software that you will use to program your EHO.
Step 2: Open your safe
- Remove the black plastic door protectors located on the top and bottom of the
door frame. This insures the door stays aligned during shipping. - Once the safe door is opened, you will need to pull out the black battery tab to
activate the batteries. This tab is located on the back panel of the safe door.
Step 3: Programming the safe with your Safemark EHO
This step is required for your safes to work properly and must be completed before guests are allowed to operate. Please
refer to the EHO User Manual or contact Safemark Technical Support at: (800) 255-8818 or [email protected].
Step 4: Open your package that contains the EHO parts to program your Safemark EHO: - Electronic Handheld Override (EHO).
- USB Cable – connects to your computer and to the USB Black Box (64 user).
- USB Black Box (64 user) – Connect to the USB cable that attaches to your
computer and then using the EHO Cord attach the EHO to the USB Black Box. - EHO Cord.

STEP 5: Are your safes equipped with the Optional High Security Key Override System? - The MIWA override lock must be programmed to the MIWA key at the time of installation. This ensures the safe is
secure and can only be unlocked with the hotel’s master key. - Safes are shipped with the locks in a neutral factory setting and are programmed by using the hotel’s master key
marked H-xxxxx. Simply insert and turn the H key clockwise 180 degrees.
