Safemark adds Distribution Partner in Saudi Arabia

Safemark Systems is pleased to announce the appointment of Al Yacht Marketing Establishment as its authorised distributor for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The company started over 25 years ago with Mr. Mansour Al Khalifa’s dream to establish a business to serve and provide the requirements of hospitality and dining courts in the hotel sector, the palaces and hospitals in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Today, Al Yacht is considered to be the local hospitality leader.

“I’m really excited by the opportunity this partnership brings to Safemark to market our guest room safes in Saudi Arabia. With Al Yacht’s focus on providing quality products, service levels that are second to none, and their extensive networks throughout the Kingdom, I’m confident in the future growth of good quality electronic safes for hotels in this market”, said Jennifer Ferris, Vice President Sales, Asia Pacific & Middle East.

When asked what attracted them to the Safemark product, Krishnan Nair, Sales & Marketing Manager explained, “We had been using other manufacturers especially from China but they do not have any recognisable brands.  Safemark is a brand that I trust and we want to deal with only brands that we trust. As you know very well, the world is growing very fast and the technology is developing.  Definitely the people from the procurement sections of all the hotels here are looking for more and more safety features.  That is the main thing that we are following up on and recognised brands with a good reputation for security are what are being specified and that’s why we are representing Safemark.”

Al Yacht will definitely benefit from the recent Hilton Global agreement naming Safemark Systems, as one of three preferred suppliers of electronic safes for all of its international hotels. “This along with our global agreements with Marriott and Fairmont and regional approvals from many more hotel management companies will give Al Yacht an in room safe to take to these properties and us the opportunity to tap into one of the strongest development pipelines in the region,” added Ferris.

Nair continues to say, “during Jennifer’s recent visit, we have seen many demonstrations and been through extensive training, now we see how valuable a brand Safemark is, very secure and safe. Until now we didn’t do anything like this as we just supplied safety boxes to companies, delivered them and there was no after sales service.  If there was some error we would go and maintain that but otherwise the supplier had nothing to do with it.  With Safemark the security levels built into the management of the system, the auditing capabilities and the ease of maintenance really set Safemark’s guest room safes apart. Our Sales staff are enthusiastic to get out and sell them and we have trained professionals to care for the client on an ongoing basis.  We really believe that this is a very practical thing to add to Saudi hotels.”

And their success with the product has already begun with the Crowne Plaza Madinah and the Swissotel Makkah being amongst the first to procure Safemark through Al Yacht, both hotels are due to open in the coming months.
