John Foley is a seasoned global sales and operations executive with more than 40 years of experience in the hospitality sector. Currently serving as Vice President and General Manager at Safemark, he has played a pivotal role in establishing the company as a leader in the hospitality security industry. Since joining Safemark in 2004, John has grown the company’s domestic market share from zero to 70%, leveraging his extensive background in development, management, design, procurement, and end-user accounts to exceed customer expectations.
John oversees global sales and operations for Safemark’s suite of products, which are utilized in over 75 countries. He spearheaded the company’s global direct sales function and leads distributor partnerships while nurturing key relationships with hospitality brands worldwide. His ability to forge valuable business relationships and stay ahead of industry trends has made him an essential part of the executive management team. Under his leadership, Safemark achieved $17 million in annual sales and received the Vendor Quality Award from the International Society of Hospitality Purchasers (ISHP) in 2016.
A native of Ireland, John began his career in hotel security technology with ASSA ABLOY Hospitality, formerly VingCard Elsafe, where he held various sales and operations roles before becoming Vice President of Sales. He is an active member of several industry organizations, including AH&LA, ASIS, ISHP, and NEWH.
